Looking to Buy...Consider These Things
Get Pre-Approved
A mortgage broker or loan officer will gather documents from you such as bank statements, tax returns and pull your credit score to determine your purchase price
Begin Your Home Search
Speak with your real estate professional about what you're looking for in a home. Be sure to include things such as number of bedrooms and bathrooms, neighborhoods and school districts
Get a Home Inspection
Search for a licensed home inspector who will report any potential unseen or unknown defects in the property. If the property isn't sold As-Is, use this report to negotiate any possible repairs or adjustments to the purchase price
Final Walk-Through
A few days before closing, perform a final walk through with your agent to ensure the property is in the same condition as it was when it was placed under contract
You're Ready to Close
You will meet with your attorney to review and sign all of the closing documents. Be sure to review everything carefully before signing. Congratulations!
